DLL 2025 Spring Middle School Season

DULLES LITTLE LEAGUE MIDDLE SCHOOL BASEBALL PROGRAM

Each Middle School within the boundaries of Dulles Little League will have one middle school baseball team. DLL middle school teams represent Eagle Ridge MS, Trailside MS and Farmwell Station MS. Team formation will be via tryout and selection by the respective middle school manager.

For the upcoming Spring season, tryouts will be conducted over two separate sessions - one in the late fall (Nov) and one in the winter (Feb). The purpose of the fall evaluation session is to give the coaches the ability to evaluate players on a field. The winter tryout will be more focused on skills that are easier to evaluate indoors - such as pitching and hitting. Players are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to attend both sessions to allow coaches the ability to see the players' full range of skills and abilities. The location/time of the fall tryout is TBD. The winter tryout is scheduled for February 1, 2025, Replay Baseball, Ashburn. More details will be emailed to registrants and posted online when times are confirmed.

Players may only try out for the middle school that they attend. If they are home-schooled or attend private school, they may only try out for the middle school in the school district in which they reside.

Roster size is usually 12 -14 players, at the discretion of the manager.

Virginia Little League District 16 is the host for the Loudoun County middle school baseball program. Schedules, scores, standings, etc will be maintained by D16. The expected game schedule is Mondays and Thursdays, but is subject to change due to availability of umpires. Practices will be scheduled at the discretion of the manager and will appear on the DLL website.

NOTE: Only those players who have registered in this program will be eligible to tryout. It is acceptable to concurrently register your ballplayer for the Juniors division, when that registration opens. If they would like to play in the Juniors division in the event they are not selected to the MS team, that registration will be located under the DLL 2025 Spring season program, and we ask that your player please register there.

Fee: No fee will be charged at registration, only if/when a player is selected to their respective team. This program has additional costs above the regular DLL registration fees to cover the cost for middle school uniforms (practice and game) and umpire fees.
