Thu, Aug 16: Waitlist for DLL's 2007 Fall Season Now Open

Registration for the 2007 Fall baseball season is now closed, but our waitlist for the Fall season is now open. Visit the Registration web page for all the details about DLL's Fall season.


Sun, Aug 26: Date Set for DLL's Annual Meeting

DLL's annual meeting is scheduled for Friday, September 28 from 7-10pm at the Mills Recreation Center (43895 Grottoes Drive in Ashburn Village. All parents/guardians residing within the DLL league boundaries are welcome to attend and participate.

The tentative agenda includes general membership information, review of the DLL budget, status of the league, and discussion of LSLL waivers for the 2008 Spring season. We will also be looking for volunteer candidates for field maintenance, league secretary, major events coordinator, and a league scheduler. If you are interested in volunteering for one of these positions, please contact skreyer@dulleslittleleague.org.

 

Sun, July 15: DLL American Majors All-Star Team Wins 2007 Virginia District 16 Tournament!

Congratulations to the 2007 Virginia District 16 Little League Champions from Dulles American!

Dulles American went undefeated through the District 16 tournament. We wish them good luck at the State Tournament at McIntire Little League, and on to Regionals in Florida.

It is just over a two hour drive from our area to Charlottesville. We encourage everyone to visit the tournament to support our District Champions!

Little League Implements New Rule to Protect Pitcher's Arms

Little League Baseball is changing its decades-old pitching rules, making the actual number of pitches delivered the deciding factor in determining eligibility in the baseball division, it was announced today by Stephen D. Keener, president and chief executive officer of Little League Baseball and Softball.

Starting with the 2007 season, pitchers in all divisions of Little League, from age 7 to 18, will have specific limits for each game, based on their age. The number of pitches delivered in a game will determine the amount of rest the player must have before pitching again.
