All DLL and LSLL parents, guardians and league volunteers are eligible to participate. Click here for all the details and the registration form. As you should know, DLL has a new fundraising effort this Spring called the DLL Discount Card. Participation is easy and the Discount Cards should be very easy to sell… purchasers can potentially save hundreds of dollars depending on use. Please get out there and sell as many cards as you can… the more you sell the greater chance you have to win great prizes. Visit the 2006 Spring DLL Discount Card web page for prize information and the rest of the details. DLL's Major's Skills Challenge, originally scheduled for Apr 22 has been rescheduled for Fri, May 5 at 6pm at Crittenden #2. This Hitting, Running and Throwing Skills Challenge will be held for select Majors players. Many of our 12 year old players have been in the league since they were 5 years of age. As a part of the celebration on April 22, three 12 year olds from each team will be selected by their managers to participate in this exciting event. Watch the the fastest runner, top hitter and top thrower from each Majors team compete head-to-head in this exciting event. Medals will be awarded in each of the skills for the top timed base runner, top points leader in throwing accuracy from centerfield to home and the top hitter for power and consistency. Let's get a big crowd together to cheer for all our competitors. Contact Dave Romola with any questions about this event.
DLL's 2006 Nationals Day will be on Sunday, May 7 at RFK Stadium against the Pirates. Regrettably, the weather has not cooperated today, resulting in the cancellation of the DLL Parade and DLL Fest 2006. Given the significant logistical and scheduling constraints, it will not be possible to reschedule the DLL Parade or Opening Day Festivities. Thanks to all who participated in the planning and coordination of this event, and to all those who were prepared to attend.
