DLL Umpire Certification Classes for the 2006 Spring Season

The first umpire certification class has been scheduled for the 2006 baseball season.  If you attend one of the certification classes and pass the written exam you will be given priory game placement for games, and Junior Umpires will recieve an extra $10/game (more on this season's reimbursement scale will posted before the start of the Spring season).

Classes will require a $50.00** registration fee (includes shirt fee, manual, class discussion, and written exam).  This fee will be payable upon entry to the class (checks payable to Dulles Little League are preferred). **$30 of the registration fee will be reimbursed to you at the end of the Spring season if you umpire a minimum of 10 games during the course of the Spring season. There is no charge for DLL Managers or their Assistant Coaches. Once you pass the written exam you will be certified for a period of 1 year.

Class sizes are limited. To register for a class, send an email to Jackie Schmetzer, Umpire-in-Chief, along with the name of the interested umpire (adult and/or junior).

Classes are as follows.

   Certification Class #1: (for those interested in becoming certified for the 1st time)
      When:  Monday, January 23 (there is no school this day!)
      Time:  10:00 am - 3:00 pm (doors open at 9:45am)
      Location:  Mill Run Elementary School

   Certification Class #2: (for those interested in becoming certified for the 1st time)
      When:  Friday, March 31
      Time:  6:00 pm - 9:30 pm
      Location:  Mill Run Elementary School

   Re-Certification Class #1: (for those interested in becoming re-certified)
      When:  Wed, March 22
      Time:  6:00 pm - 9:30 pm
      Location: Mill Run Elementary School

   Re-Certification Class #2: (for those interested in becoming re-certified)
      When:  Thu, April 6
      Time:  6:00 pm - 9:30 pm
      Location: Mill Run Elementary School
