Majors Skills Challenge

As a part of the DLL's Opening Day Celebration, a Hitting, Running and Throwing Skills Challenge will be held for select Majors players. Many of our 12 year old players have been in the league since they were 5 years of age.  As a part of the celebration on April 22, three 12 year olds from each team will be selected by their managers to participate in this exciting event. Watch the the fastest runner, top hitter and top thrower from each Majors team compete head-to-head in this exciting event.  Medals will be awarded in each of the skills for the top timed base runner, top points leader in throwing accuracy from centerfield to home and the top hitter for power and consistency.  This event will take place on Field 2 at Crittenden from 10:30-11:30am. Let's get a big crowd together to cheer for all our competitors.

DLL Opening Day Parade Team Spirit Contest

Have your team show their true colors this year in the DLL Opening Day Parade.  We would again like your teams to show their spirit not only for their team but also for the entire DLL Community.  Let's turn it up a notch or two!  The DLL Board is asking each team to be as creative as possible and utilize props, flags, banners, whatever it takes to give your team a theme based around it's name, the city the actual MLB team resides in or any other baseball related idea you, your parents and the kids can think of.

Home-made banners are strongly preferred! Each team will be judged and a winner declared for each division.  Prizes (tbd) will be awarded to a team in each division.   Good luck and have FUN!!!!
