Committee ListThe committees are listed under the board position that they support. To volunteer for a committee, click here. UICAssistant Umpire-in-Chief (Scheduler), Umpiring Committee – Assists the UIC in assigning and allocating umpires. TreasurerNationals or Oriole Day Committee – Facilitate coordination of our yearly trip to RFK or Camden Yards. Golf Tournament Committee – Coordinate the yearly golf tournament. Sponsorship Committee – Committee will assist the sponsorship coordinator in acquiring sponsors for the League. Concession Committee – Responsible for opening and closing the snack bars at Crittenden and Parsells. Fundraising Committee – Committee members will assist the fundraising coordinator by selecting the type, planning the logistics, and executing the successful completion of DLL fundraising activities. Player AgentSkills Assessment Committee – This committee will assist player agents in planning and administering spring skills assessment, as well as the recording of skills assessment data to facilitate the disbursement of talent. Registration Committee – This committee will assist player agents with registration to include walk-in, mail-in, and team/player data input. WebmasterWeb Committee– Feature writer, scores administrator, or photo editor are possible duties. FieldsField Day Captains – Coordinate Field Day activities at the various DLL fields. This person will assist in the creation of a task list and ensure resources are actively deployed. Field Assessment – Assists Field Board Member in determining the playing status of our fields. V.P.Coach Training – Assist in the coordination of training sessions for our coaches. Also, identify other training materials that can improve coaching performance. SecretaryPublic Relations Committee – Assists in getting the word out about DLL events (Registration, tryouts, tournaments, etc.) Newsletter – Creates content for an electronic newsletter that goes out periodically. Opening Day Parade – coordinate opening day activities. Included in these responsibilities is to locate a speaker, obtain appropriate permissions, obtain volunteers to assist in parade duties, coordinate logistics on the day of the event. PresidentTournament Committee – Assists in running DLL sponsored tournaments (including the 12 year old tournament) Challenger Program – Coordinate the continued growth of our challenger program to include the promotion of the “buddy system” with the “mainstream” kids and coordinate summer trip.
